SKINCARE ROUTINE

Hello everyone! My Mawmaw always tells me, "Makeup is amazing, but you need a clear canvas. Your skin is the canvas and what should come first that you care about should be your skincare routine." I agree 100%, however I used to not always be like this. I will admit, I used to not do anything to my skin. Luckily, my mom always had clear skin and never had to use any products and so I guess it got passed on to me. Besides taking my makeup off with a wipe and rinsing my skin, thats all I used to do. Recently though I have been loving using a tiny skincare routine. I'm a believer that the less products you use on your face the better. Your face does not want a ton of different products on your face. A few is better than a lot. I also believe you don't need the most expensive products out there to have a great skincare routine. Today I wanted to share my simple routine. If you are struggling with finding products to use or having a simple skin care routine then I think you will enjoy this!

First off I wanna start by saying that my skin type is definitely more dry than oily - so I go for products that will either benefit dry skin or all types of skin. Also this is basically a 2 step routine without makeup and 3 or 4 step with makeup routine! How short and simple!!

STEP 1:

I use these Aveeno makeup remover wipes to remove my makeup. I find that these wipes are super calming and do not irritate your skin at all. I used to use the Neutrogena makeup remover wipes, however I found that they would burn my skin and I would have to hurry and rinse my skin off. If the same thing happens to you, I really recommend these wipes, and they do just as good of a job.

STEP 2:

I SOMETIMES do this on days that I wear makeup. I like to take this micellar water on a cotton pad and just go all over my face to make sure all of my makeup is off. This is an optional step -- again I only use this whenever I wear makeup. You can also use this before you put on makeup before your moisturizer!

STEP 3:

I recently started using this product because of my lash extensions. You need an oil free product to clean your lashes with so I purchased this item. I now use it as my face wash and honestly I will probably continue to use this! (the Aveeno ultra calming face wash is AMAZING as well). I love this face wash so much and it truly makes you feel so refreshed.

STEP 4:

Lastly, I moisturize! I love this moisturizer so much. It is so smooth like butter! You cannot tell you have it on. It is super refreshing. I use this moisturizer morning and night. You cannot go wrong with this product!
